Two years after manufacture of T-250 power amplifier model it was decided to add a few more amplifier models as well. Moreover, the goal was not only to add, but also to improve the sound quality and technical characteristics significantly. It was not that easy to implement this idea, but as a result T-250 had outstanding sound which was confirmed by numerous playbacks and user comments. Ayon Triton III is actually a typical integrated amplifier blending in with other tube amplifiers. The design is bright, catchy, recherché, but many people find it likeable. That is in fact all I have to say. As regards the sound, the bass is bloated and excessive. Tremble is not quite pure and clear, probably even muffled. The way it creates the stage leaves much to be desired. When we compared it to cheaper analogs of other brands, even much cheaper ones showed better results. But I must admit this amplifier is powerful enough. It will cope with almost any acoustics connected, which by the way is not the least of the factors, as it is not really appropriate to compare it with a well-sounding class A amplifier with 18W output. High power is not the key price-forming factor, especially for tube amplifiers. We decided to try to slightly improve the sound.

In my opinion, this is an interesting amplifier which I had no intention to use in my system and which I happened to get by chance. It is of common knowledge that Jack of all trades is master of none. So I did not commit myself to amplifier making. I concentrated my effort on processors and DACs which other people manufactured for me. At some point I decided to try working on an amplifier. I won’t claim that my amplifier is outstanding - I know that better ones exist. However, I find it very pleasing. I compared mine with Krell, Electrocompaniet, McIntosh, Accustic Arts, CARY AUDIO, Accuphase, Classe, Plinius, Densen Audio, original amplifiers designed by Russian engineers. On the whole, I don’t feel like replacing it with any other device. What I like about it is the versatility, large power reserve (250 W/8 ohm, 450 W/4 ohm, and 600 W/2 ohm), excellent bass dynamics, pure treble without shrill...
